Daily Readig Time – A note from Miss Griffiths

Thank you to all the parents in Foundation Stage and Key Stage one who have started this academic year off really well by establishing a reading@home routine with the children. 5 minutes each day of:
- Sharing a bedtime story
- Reading the reading book sent home in the book bags.
- Having fun completing each weeks tasks in learning logs or “jolly sounds” books.
- Choosing a magazine at the shops together.
- Playing games with the “key words” sent home.
- Playing with sounds and words to make silly rhymes in the car.
Makes all the difference. Have fun with reading and don’t forget to make a note of these times in your child’s reading record so that we can maintain a home-school reading log together.
