School Brochure: Admissions Policy
Following the county policy for admissions, the Bythams School admits children into the school at the beginning of the academic year they become 5 years old. However, we also give parents the opportunity for their children to start school after the Christmas break and the main Easter break after their child reaches age 4 providing there are spaces. This is known as the ‘Early Years Programme’. In order to benefit from this you need to register your child on our Admissions List at least one term before they are eligible to start Early Years.
The planned admission limit is 12 children each year. If there are not enough places at the school for all children who wish to attend, the head will take into account where each child lives. Places will be given, in the first instance, to children living within the school’s traditional ‘catchment’ area. If any places are left, children living in any other area may be admitted.
Places may be given to children living outside Lincolnshire, if their parents prefer them to attend the Bythams School. Please contact the Headteacher, if you need any further information or have any concerns.
